Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to identify two suspects involved in a daytime robbery that took place in Oakville.
As reported by the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), this incident happened on Wednesday, April 22nd, around 9:40 a. m. at Brother Deals on Wheels. Investigators state that two male suspects entered the store, confronted three individuals inside, and demanded their belongings.
Police claim that one of the suspects was armed with a handgun while the other wielded a machete. The suspects stole a piece of jewelry and two cell phones before escaping in a black Acura RDX, which was later confirmed to be stolen from Toronto. Thankfully, no one sustained physical injuries.
Descriptions of the suspects are as follows:
Suspect #1 – Male, black, medium to heavy build, dressed in a dark zip-up hooded jacket over a tan hoodie, black cargo pants, black athletic shoes, gloves, and a black face covering. He was carrying a small black satchel and had a handgun. Suspect #2 – Male, slender to medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, patterned shoes in black and white colors, with a red face covering while holding a machete.
Investigators urge anyone with information or dashcam footage from the vicinity of Wyecroft Road and Dorval Drive around the time of the robbery to reach out.
