A suspicious death in Perth has been classified as a homicide, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in a news release Tuesday.

Officers arrived on Sunday at Last Duel Park and discovered a man in his 30s with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to the hospital and subsequently pronounced dead, as per OPP reports.

The release indicated that the incident appears targeted and there’s no indication of any wider threat. OPP Const. Corey Noonan mentioned to CBC that no suspects have been identified so far.

The OPP confirmed they know the victim’s identity but are still trying to reach out to their family members. Noonan noted that locating the man’s relatives has proven challenging.

The park has reopened, and there is currently no significant police presence in the area, according to OPP.
