March 18, 1959 to April 9, 2026

Sherry Costa (Monteith), who was 67 years old, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026 at TBRHSC, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on March 18, 1959, in Fort William, Ontario. Sherry’s life revolved around her family, love, and the simple pleasures found in nature. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Costa (Pino).

Sherry leaves behind her children Christy Costa, Frank Costa (Meagan), and Tyler Costa (Emma). She took great pride in being a Nana to her grandchildren: Camryn, Owen, Paityn, Hailey, Melanie, Vanessa, Jana, Noah and Parker. Her brothers Terry Monteith (Claire), Kerry Monteith (Randi) and Robin Monteith (Kelly) also survive her along with many nieces and nephews.

She loved spending summers camping at Mark’s Lake and fishing with her family. Those moments created wonderful memories for everyone involved. Sherry faced her last days with bravery while receiving kind care from the Oncology Department at TBRHSC. The family wants to express their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff who offered such caring support during this time.

Her warm heart will be missed greatly along with the happiness she brought into the lives of those around her.

A Celebration of Life is planned for May 9th from 1pm to 5pm at The Da Vinci Centre. Everyone is welcome to come share a memory of Sherry with friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sherry’s memory to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Condolences can be sent through www. nwfainc. com
