Last night, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Ottawa pulled over a male driver for stunt driving.
The driver was clocked at 168 km/h near Moodie Drive on Highway 417 around 1:00 a. m. Friday.
While stopping the vehicle, police performed a mandatory alcohol test since they noticed the driver had been drinking. Fortunately, he was found to be within legal limits.
Due to the stunt driving charge, he faces at least a $2,000 fine, six demerit points, and could have his license suspended for one year if convicted.
The driver’s license was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle will be impounded for two weeks.
