Wainbee Ltd. mentioned that this strategic move would enhance its service and technical capabilities.
A company based in Mississauga has acquired Hydraulics Plus, a Timmins business that specializes in manufacturing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and components for industries such as mining and forestry.
Describing it as a “strategic acquisition,” Wainbee Ltd. stated that this step will help the company provide better service to customers in northeastern Ontario by boosting its service and technical abilities.
“Northern Ontario represents a highly resilient industrial market, and Hydraulics Plus’ strong service footprint allows us to deepen customer relationships while expanding opportunities across mining, forestry, and industrial maintenance,” Mike Labanovich, Wainbee’s vice-president of sales and technical services, said in a Feb. 3 news release.
“Together, we see meaningful potential to grow both service and project-driven demand in the region.”
Founded in 2012, Hydraulics Plus distributes the Parker line of fluid power components and boasts a solid local presence along with substantial service depth, according to Wainbee.
When combined with Wainbee’s national reach, wide range of products, and supplier relationships, the company is “well positioned to unlock new growth opportunities and enhanced service offerings for customers in the region,” Wainbee added.
An employee-owned organization, Wainbee has been operating since 1957, offering engineered systems, products, and services related to motion control, filtration, automation solutions across various sectors like construction, forestry, mining, metals manufacturing, railways, power generation, and more.
Wainbee operates 16 locations with over 200 employees on its team.
