An American burger chain is set to open two new spots in the western Greater Toronto Area, with the first one launching in Oakville later this month and another coming to Burlington in December.
Shake Shack Canada has announced that its Oakville restaurant will debut on Nov. 18, while the Burlington location is slated to welcome its initial customers on Dec. 4.
The Oakville venue will be situated at 275 Hays Blvd., close to Dundas Street and Trafalgar Road, whereas the Burlington branch is planned for 4511 Dundas St., near Appleby Line.
Both restaurants will operate daily from 11 a. m. to 11 p. m.
The new openings are part of Shake Shack’s ongoing expansion across Ontario, bringing this New York-based burger brand into two additional communities.
The chain is recognized for its freshly made burgers, especially its popular Shack Burger, crafted with Angus beef. The menu also features crispy chicken sandwiches made from whole white meat, crinkle-cut fries, hand-spun milkshakes, and frozen custards.
Customers can look forward to vegetarian choices as well, including the Veggie Shack made with real veggies and grains, along with lemonades, iced teas, and other beverages.
Shake Shack Canada states that its signature menu at these new locations will highlight 100 percent premium Canadian ingredients.
“We look forward to welcoming guests to our new Oakville and Burlington locations and serving them with the exceptional quality, hospitality and energy that makes the Shake Shack experience so special,” said Billy Richmond, business director of Shake Shack Canada.
The company also aims to open a restaurant in London, Ontario by 2027. This location will be notable as it will feature a drive-thru for the first time in the province.
Shake Shack initially announced its Canadian expansion in 2023 through partnerships with Toronto-based investment firms Osmington Inc. and Harlo Entertainment Inc. The collaboration outlined plans for opening up to 35 restaurants across Canada by 2035.
The brand’s inaugural Canadian restaurant opened in Toronto in 2024. Since then it has expanded into other areas of the Greater Toronto Area including a site at Square One Shopping Centre in Mississauga.
The Oakville and Burlington establishments will further enhance that growing presence as Shake Shack continues introducing its American burger concept to Canadian diners.
