A woman from Kingston, Ont., lost her life on Sunday following a three-vehicle accident on Highway 401 in Whitby.
Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police responded to the incident near Thickson Road at around 7:10 p. m. on November 1.
Two of the vehicles caught fire, and the 43-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene. The OPP reported that two other individuals were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A 20-year-old man from Lincoln, Ont., has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing death, impaired driving causing death, and operating a vehicle with blood alcohol levels over 80mg/alc in 100ml/blood.
