A truck driver passed away at a warehouse in Vaughan on Friday, prompting an investigation by the Ontario Ministry of Labour.

Emergency responders were called to the scene of an injury at a large industrial site in Vaughan around 10:30 p. m., according to York paramedics.

They reported that a patient was assessed on-site and found to have no vital signs, so they did not transport him to the hospital.

In a statement via email, the Ministry of Labour confirmed it was informed about the fatal incident involving a truck driver on Friday.

An inspector has visited the location, and an investigation is currently underway.

Details regarding the victim or specifics of what happened have not been released yet.

Toronto police mentioned they are helping the ministry with their investigation.
