The well-known Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fair is heading to Barrie on Oct. 6 and 7, marking its third stop on a tour across 12 cities this fall.
This event connects students, parents, and job-seekers with hands-on experiences and career opportunities in over 140 recognized skilled trades in Ontario.
The Barrie event will feature a public open house from 3 p. m. to 7:30 p. m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6 – an evening dedicated to students, families, job-seekers, and community members where they can engage with exhibitors at the career fair.
Organized by Skilled Trades Ontario, Level Up! Skilled Trades Career Fairs offer an exciting platform for learning about high-demand skilled trades that are vital for Ontario’s economic development and future workforce.
“Whether you’re a student exploring career possibilities, a parent learning more about apprenticeship, or an adult considering a career change, Level Up! offers an engaging introduction to one of Ontario’s most important and rewarding sectors,” said Candice White, CEO of Skilled Trades Ontario.
This marks the fifth year of Level Up!, which has previously attracted over 140,000 attendees.
“Now more than ever, we need to give young people the chance to see where a career in the skilled trades can lead them,” said Trevor Jones, minister of labour, immigration, training and skills development. “Level Up! is providing students with the confidence to pursue fulfilling careers while building a future for themselves and contributing to Ontario for generations.”
