Knights Defeat Attack, Remain Undefeated at 3-0

The London Knights celebrated their third straight win on Friday night, taking down the Owen Sound Attack at Canada Life Place in downtown. Here are the highlights from the game.

Who scored and what was the final score?

The Knights came out on top with a score of 7-4. Cohen Bidgood (one goal, two assists), Carson Harmer (one goal, two assists), and Ryan Brown (three assists) each contributed three points to the offense. Evan Van Gorp netted two goals on five shots, while Cody Wood had a standout game finishing plus-four without being involved in any of the scoring.

Making his debut for the Knights was Marcus Nordmark, a Swedish forward and first-round pick by the Anaheim Ducks. He showed impressive potential by firing off ten shots during his first game.

For the Attack, Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Harry Nansi (fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL draft) scored twice and added an assist. Last season he recorded 56 points over 67 games. Meanwhile, captain Pierce Mbuyi had one assist but ended up with a minus-three rating.

Who was in goal for the win?

Brian Cooke secured the win for the Knights with 22 saves on 26 shots. He also won their previous match last Saturday against Windsor. On Friday night, Charlie Weiss supported him from the bench.

Ryerson Leenders from Nanticoke took the loss for Owen Sound after allowing six goals on 40 shots. Last season he played for Brantford and achieved 25 wins as part of their Bulldogs team. He’s a seventh-round draft choice of NHL’s Buffalo Sabres.

What’s next for the Knights?

Even with many expected top players still at NHL camps-including goalie Alexei Medvedev (Canucks)-the Knights have managed to go undefeated at 3-0.

Friday’s victory over Owen Sound marked their first game in six days, and they’ll be back in action next week-on Friday Oct. 2-at home against North Bay.
