Costco is set to open a new store in southern Ontario, and you might be shopping there soon.
The company has provided details about the location of the store, what departments will be available, and the job openings at the warehouse.
Ontario has several Costco Canada locations, including regular warehouses and Business Centres, with more stores potentially opening in the province this year.
The new Costco will be located at 345 Lyons Court in Wasaga Beach, which is near Highway 26 and Mosley Street.
It’s close to Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Clearview, Tiny, and Angus. So if you’re around that area, you may have noticed this warehouse while it was being built.
Now, there are some additional details about the Wasaga Beach Costco that you might not be aware of yet.
This location will feature meat, produce, and bakery departments within its grocery section. Plus, there’s going to be a Costco food court right after the checkout lines.
This warehouse will also include an electronics department stocked with TVs, laptops, appliances, and other products.
Members can take advantage of a pharmacy, hearing centre, optical lab, and tire centre as well.
The store hours for Ontario locations are from 9 a. m. to 8:30 p. m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a. m. to 7 p. m. Saturday and Sunday.
You can expect the new warehouse to follow these same hours of operation.
An official opening date for this store hasn’t been revealed yet; however, Costco Canada is currently hiring for positions at the Wasaga Beach warehouse-meaning shoppers could soon get access there.
This store will have standard grocery departments available for customers. Job opportunities include Baker, Bakery Wrapper, Cake Decorator, Stocker, Meat Assistant, Meat Cutter and Service Deli Clerk roles.
There are also openings in various parts of the warehouse such as Cashier Assistant, Food Court Food Service Assistant, Electronics/Major Sales Assistant, Loss Prevention Clerk, Maintenance Assistant , and Member Service Assistant roles.
Since the Wasaga Beach Costco will have specialized services like a pharmacy and hearing centre among others , there are specific job openings too.
This includes Audiologist (Licensed), Optical Student , Optician/Contact Lens Practitioner (Licensed), Pharmacist , Pharmacy Clerk (Certified), Pharmacy Student , Registered Pharmacy Technician , and Tire Installer positions available.
Salaries for some jobs at this Costco may range from $20 to $46.15 per hour depending on the position held.
Costco also plans to open another store in southern Ontario soon. The retailer is preparing for shoppers by hiring for jobs at their new East Windsor Costco warehouse as well.
