The Township of Wellington North has recognized nine local volunteers with Ontario Volunteer Service Awards.
The 2026 award winners were celebrated at a ceremony in Mount Forest on Thursday.
This year’s honorees include Noah Seddon, Reuben Seddon, Abigail Geiger, Henry Curtis, Vern Job, Elsa Mann, Marlene Markle, Mike Marshall, and Darryl Woods.
The recipients dedicate countless hours to various community organizations such as Wellington North Ringette, Mount Forest Leos Club, Arthur Optimist Club, Mount Forest Lions Club, the HOPE Committee, Mount Forest and District Arts Council, Arthur Lions Club, and many others.
The township highlights that these individuals possess a “generosity, sense of leadership and commitment that help make Wellington North a stronger, more connected and welcoming community for everyone.”
“Volunteers are the backbone of any community, and Wellington North is no different. On behalf of Council and staff at the Township of Wellington North, congratulations and thank you for everything you do to help make our community a great place to live, work and raise a family,” said Mayor Andy Lennox.
