The situation is under investigation, and the OPP is collaborating with service providers to quickly restore the emergency telephone system.
If 9-1-1 is unavailable, the public is encouraged to contact the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122, which is fully operational for those needing emergency assistance.
Police remind everyone not to call 9-1-1 just to test it or ask for updates about the outages.
Despite these temporary disruptions, OPP officers continue to respond to calls for service, and further updates will be shared as they become available.
