Brandon Mc Murray, 42, from Huntsville, Ontario, passed away on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, following an unexpected health issue. He grew up in Oakville, Ontario but spent most of his summers enjoying the great outdoors in Huntsville with his grandparents, Bill and Marj Blackburn.
He earned a History Degree at the University of Waterloo before starting a career in the jewellery industry in Toronto. After several years there, Brandon seized the opportunity to open Hunt House Fine Jewellery alongside his parents, Brian and Cathy Mc Murray, allowing him to move permanently to a place that held a special place in his heart.
Brandon had a strong passion for nature and was an enthusiastic fisherman who thrived when he was outdoors. His dog Charlie was always by his side; they shared a close bond. He will be missed dearly by his parents Cathy and Brian, sister Jordana and brother-in-law Othon, niece Sofia and nephew Theo, along with his beloved dog Charlie.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service; instead, his family will remember him privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Huntsville Hospital at https://huntsvillehospitalfoundation. ca/ as a way to show appreciation for the care he received. The family also encourages anyone able to donate blood in his memory as a way to share compassion with those in need.
