George Raddatz Jr.
George passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. He was a long-time resident of Pembroke and had been married to Sheila Raddatz (nee Edwards) for 63 wonderful years. He is survived by his children: Kevin Raddatz (Merri-Lynn), Shelly Bailey (Todd), Stephen Raddatz, and Karen Gauthier (Mark), all from Pembroke. George was a proud grandfather to Candace Bell, Cory and Collin Raddatz, Andrew, Allison and Alicia Bailey, Caleb and Brianne Raddatz, Jana Hartwig, Victoria Croft, Rebecca Gauthier and he was predeceased by granddaughter Amy Bailey.
He leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren. George is also survived by his sister Ruth Page (late Jack) and was predeceased by sisters Marion, Gladys Schizkoskie (late Warren), Lillian Brodofskie (late Ferdinand), as well as brothers Ray (Mavis), Roy (Marjorie), Glen, Dawson along with his parents George Sr. and Annie (nee Schultz) Raddatz.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Lane and her residents along with the OHAH team, Access Nursing staff and PSWs for their compassionate care.
Friends are welcome to come share their memories of George with the family during visitation at Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle located at 34 Jordan Avenue in Pembroke on Sunday, August 16 from 7 – 9 p. m. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 17 at 11:00 a. m., also at Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Pembroke. In honor of George’s memory, donations to the PPT Music Ministry would be greatly appreciated.
