It’s with great sadness that we share the news of Peter Shaver’s passing on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Sudbury, Ontario, at the age of 81.
Peter was the loving son of the late Robert Shaver and the late Rhoda Frost. He will always be remembered by his devoted wife and partner, Liliane Dugas.
He leaves behind his children: Richard Shaver (Amanda), Tracey Lynn Shaver, Jimmy Shaver, Louise Gagnon (Damien), and Joanne Beauvais (Richard). Peter was preceded in death by his brothers Donald, Larry, Arthur, and Tommy.
His grandchildren-Michel, Amy, Marc, Ashley, Paige, Erick, Graham, and Noah-along with his nine great-grandchildren will miss him dearly; they brought him so much happiness.
Pete will be fondly thought of by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Raymond Dugas (Vicky), Roger Dugas (Rosanna), Estelle Dugas and Lise Dugas (Darren). He held a special bond with Diane and Lawrence Lapointe who have both passed away. Many nieces and nephews will also feel his absence.
Friends and family are warmly invited to join us for a celebration of life on September 13th, 2026 at Simple Wishes of the North located at 1106 Kingsway in Sudbury, Ontario P3B 2E5
The celebration will take place from 1pm to 4pm.
Cremation services are being handled professionally by Simple Wishes of the North along with Crystal crematorium.
