Investigation Launched into Woman’s Death in Spencerville

The death of a 37-year-old woman in Spencerville on Saturday, Aug. 29, is now being looked into as a homicide.

The Ontario Provincial Police announced on Tuesday that the victim has been identified as Chelsea Swinwood from “Grenville”.

Officers from the Grenville County OPP detachment discovered the woman deceased on Saturday at a home on Crowder Road.

Details about the homicide haven’t been released yet.

According to police, both on Tuesday and in an initial release on Saturday regarding her death, they believe this was an isolated incident with no indication of a wider threat.
