Voters in the areas of Scarborough Southwest, York-Simcoe, and Hamilton East-Stoney Creek can participate in advance polling before the byelections on Sept. 3.
A byelection is taking place in Scarborough Southwest because Doly Begum, who represented the NDP since 2018, left her seat in February. The Conservatives aim to maintain the seats that were left vacant in York-Simcoe by Caroline Mulroney and in Hamilton East-Stoney Creek, which was previously held by Neil Lumsden. Aug. 21 to Sept. 2: Access assistive voting technology at your local elections office; it’s also available by appointment on election day. Aug. 28, 6 p. m. ET: Last day to submit your application for mail-in voting. Sept. 2: Vote at your local election office until 6 p. m. ET before election day. Sept. 3: Completed mail-in ballots must reach Elections Ontario by 6 p. m. ET to be counted.
