Ken passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe, Ontario, at the age of 86. He was originally from Simcoe and had previously lived in North Bay and Sault Ste. Marie.
He was the loving husband of the late Frances (Bouliane) La Berge (1983) and the late Carol Robinson (2021). Ken was a caring father to Christopher (Michele) of Port Rowan and a proud grandfather to Ainsley. He also leaves behind step-children Jamie, Tamara, and Andi. Ken was predeceased by his parents Eugene La Berge and Edith (Stares) La Berge.
The family welcomes friends to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd. 705-945-7758) on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 5:00 p. m. until 8:00 p. m. The funeral service will take place in the Chapel at 10:00 a. m. on Friday, August 28, 2026 with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
