Local voters now have a clear understanding of their choices for the upcoming municipal election in October.

The nomination period officially ended at 2 p. m. on Friday.

On Oct. 26, residents of Windsor will vote for a mayor and 10 council members.

This story will be updated as new candidates are added to the list. Here’s how the races are shaping up in the city:

Mayor

Drew Dilkens announced his intention to run for a fourth term just before the nomination deadline. He held a news conference at noon on Friday to confirm his candidacy.

Dilkens will compete against current Ward 1 councillor Fred Francis and nine other candidates, including Kat Pasquach, an artist, business owner, and CEO of Can Am Urban Native Non-Profit Homes.

The complete list of candidates is as follows:

Benjamin Danyluk. Aaron Day. Drew Dilkens. Fred Francis. Dylon Graves. Tara Grayer. Nick Kolasky. Tristan Ty Morencie. Kat Pasquach. Patrick Sutherland. Louis Vaupotic.Ward 1 Coun. Ward 1

Darcie Renaud, who ran against Fred Francis for the seat in 2022 and was initially unopposed this week, now has six challengers, including Greater Essex County District School Board (GECDSB) trustee Linda Qin and retired Windsor Police Service Deputy Chief Frank Providenti. Francis isn’t seeking re-election as a councillor so he can focus on running for mayor.

Here’s the complete list of candidates so far:

Henry De Cordova. Geoffrey D Guttmann. Shezi Jaffri. Brenda Juarez. Frank Providenti. Darcie Renaud. Linda Qin.

Ward 2

The candidate list includes:
