York Regional Police are reaching out to the public for assistance regarding a serious accident that took place in Markham on Friday.
Authorities responded to a crash involving a Mercedes and a Subaru at the intersection of Major Mackenzie Drive and Stonebridge Drive, close to Mc Cowan Road, around 4:50 p. m.
According to investigators, one vehicle crossed the center median and collided head-on with the other.
The driver of the Subaru was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Two children in that vehicle were also injured-one sustained life-threatening injuries, while the other had minor injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes was also hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
As they continue their investigation, police are eager to talk with any witnesses who haven’t already come forward and anyone who may have dashcam footage from the area around the time of the accident.
