Surveillance footage has emerged depicting the tragic moment a 47-year-old man was shot dead on a residential street in Richmond Hill on Thursday night.
In the clip shared with by local residents, five gunshots are heard just moments before a man is seen running along the sidewalk on Parker Avenue, pursued by someone dressed in dark clothing who seems to be brandishing a weapon.

As the man dashes across the street, another gunshot rings out, causing him to collapse onto the ground.
He attempts to rise but his pursuer catches up with him, standing over him as three more shots are fired.
A grey SUV then pulls up and the individual in dark attire jumps into it before it drives off.
Another man wearing a white shirt rushes down and checks on the victim lying on the pavement. He can be heard calling out the victim’s name.

York Regional Police reported receiving a call around 6:45 p. m. about gunfire near Parker Avenue and Poplar Drive, just north of King Road. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Issam Saad, aged 47, lying injured with gunshot wounds.
Despite attempts to save his life, Saad was declared dead at the scene.
Investigators believe that this was not random violence and are actively seeking two suspects; however, they do not have any descriptions available yet.
The motive for this shooting remains unclear.
Police mentioned that an abandoned Honda Pilot found burning shortly after the incident near King Road and Dufferin Street is believed to be connected to this case.

A nearby resident identified as Arlo shared with that he was finishing dinner when he heard what sounded like gunshots outside his home.
“We thought they were fireworks at first and then we realized they weren’t,” he said.
Arlo recounted how he ran outside with his father and brother to provide CPR for the victim.
“I worked on him for a little bit, but he was shot point blank,” he said.</P
He noted that the man wearing white was actually related to Saad.“He was freaking out so we were trying to calm his brother down,” Arlo said.<.
