A man from Mississauga is one of three individuals charged with attempted murder related to a home invasion and shooting that occurred late last year, west of the Greater Toronto Area.
The Ontario Provincial Police reported that those arrested are facing multiple charges following an incident where one person was shot during the early hours of Nov. 16, 2025, at a residence located south of Guelph in Puslinch Township.
Authorities stated they responded alongside paramedics to a report of a home invasion around 4:40 a. m. When they arrived, they found one individual with a gunshot wound.
The victim was quickly transported to a local trauma center and later recovered from their injuries.
In June, police apprehended two suspects and charged them as part of their investigation into the home invasion and shooting. A third suspect was taken into custody on Sept. 9.
Lavontae Bowleg, aged 20, from Mississauga, faces charges including attempt to commit murder using a restricted or prohibited firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, discharge of a firearm with intent, breaking and entering to commit an indictable offense, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and several other firearm-related charges.
Authorities indicated that the accused remains detained and is set to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 9.
An 18-year-old from Oshawa, who was considered a youth at the time of the incident and thus cannot be named publicly, is also charged with attempt to commit murder using a restricted or prohibited firearm, conspiracy to commit an indictable offense, breaking and entering for an indictable offense and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
This individual remains in custody and will appear in Guelph court at another date yet to be determined.

Keillo Waisome, aged 19 from Welland, has been charged with attempt to commit murder using a restricted or prohibited firearm as well as conspiracy to commit an indictable offense. He also faces charges for breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offense; possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000; along with various other firearm-related offenses.
This accused individual remains held in custody and is expected to appear in Guelph court on Oct. 5.
Police mentioned that there’s a publication ban which prohibits them from releasing additional details at this time.
