Nursing Instructor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault

In Markham, a nursing instructor named Armin Azizi-Mehr, who is 58 years old, has been charged with sexual assault after an incident involving a student. According to the York Regional Police, the alleged assault happened after the instructor took the student on home care visits as part of her training. Following these visits, Azizi-Mehr reportedly drove the student to a remote location and engaged in inappropriate physical contact with sexual intent.

The College of Nurses of Ontario has been informed about the charges and has voiced serious concern regarding these allegations. The police have released a photo of Azizi-Mehr, believing there may be other victims, and they are urging anyone with information to reach out at 1-866-876-5423 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
