A resident from Hamilton has been charged in connection with a deadly hit-and-run incident that took place in Mississauga, resulting in the death of a pedestrian on Tuesday.
Shortly before 6 p. m., officers were called to the intersection of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dundas Street after a man was hit by a vehicle whose driver did not stay at the scene.
According to Peel police, a man in his 60s died from his injuries at the location of the collision.
Investigators have identified the suspect vehicle as a dark, two-toned Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck, manufactured between 1999 and 2005.

On Wednesday, authorities arrested and charged Aubrey Lawrence, aged 69, with failing to remain at an accident that resulted in death. The truck was also found and taken into custody.
Authorities believe the accused interacted with another driver in the parking lot of a nearby Home Depot shortly after the accident occurred.
Police would like to speak with this individual if they have any information that could help with the investigation.
