Carol S. Boughton, 91, of Ontario, New York, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Pines of Peace.
A lifelong resident of Ontario, Carol graduated from Wayne Central School in 1952. She had a long and successful career in banking before she retired. After retiring, she dedicated her time to volunteering at Heritage Square, where she made many great friends and continued to help others. Above all else, Carol loved her family. She spent countless joyful hours with her grandsons and great-grandchildren, making wonderful memories.
Carol was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Boughton Jr.; her parents, Carleton and Hazel Slocum; her brothers, Carlton Slocum Jr. and Leon Slocum; and her son-in-law, Randy Luke. She is survived by her brother, William Slocum; her loving daughter, Joanne Luke; grandsons Adam (Andrea), Erik (Katie), and Matt (Jenna); along with her dear great-grandchildren Ava, Ella, Ally, Dylan, and AJ. Many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends also survive her.
The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Pines of Peace for their outstanding care and kindness. Their commitment to Carol and all the families they support is truly commendable.
In line with Carol’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
