Environment Canada has ended a severe thunderstorm warning that was issued earlier on Thursday for areas in the Winchester region southeast of Ottawa.
The weather alerts were yellow, which is the lowest and most common level on Environment Canada’s three-colour scale.
A severe thunderstorm watch is still in effect for communities along the St. Lawrence River, stretching from Prescott in the east to well past Toronto in the west.
