BURLINGTON, ON, Sept. 8, 2026 /CNW/ — IKEA Canada is excited to share that it will be opening its first compact store in London, Ontario on September 29, 2026. This store is designed for quick visits and focuses on everyday essentials, making it easier for people to access IKEA right where they live, work, socialize, and shop.

The new location at White Oaks Mall (1105 Wellington Road) will feature:
A compact layout of around 43,000 square feet (about one-fifth the size of the Burlington location) with over 2,500 everyday essentials or seasonal favorites;
Inspiring room setups and smart ideas for a better and more sustainable life at home;
A selection of about 400 furniture items available for immediate purchase from the Self-serve warehouse;
The option to order from the entire IKEA product range with flexible delivery and collection choices; and
A variety of IKEA food options offering a taste of Sweden (yes, including meatballs).
This new compact store format complements other IKEA stores as well as digital platforms by enhancing the omnichannel experience and providing customers with more ways to connect with IKEA.
If customers want help planning or designing complex home furnishing solutions like kitchens they can still book one-on-one appointments with experts at the London IKEA Plan & Order Point located at 3120 Wonderland Rd. South.
The London Pick-up location (1095 Wilton Grove Rd.) will also remain open so that customers have a convenient spot to collect orders placed through any of the various shopping channels offered by IKEA.
