Provincial police report that a Tillsonburg man was thrown from his motorcycle into a tree following a head-on collision with an SUV in Norfolk County. He has since died.
The 38-year-old was rushed to the hospital with severe life-threatening injuries early Thursday morning. Emergency crews arrived at a residence on Norfolk County Road 30 in Middleton around 5:40 a. m.
According to police, a 35-year-old man from Norfolk County was driving north on Norfolk County Road 30 when the motorcyclist, traveling south, crossed over the center line.

The collision sent the motorcyclist flying off his bike, and he hit a tree. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital and identified Friday as Matthew Allan Zwiep of Tillsonburg.
