For any emergency situation related to wildfires: – If you’re north of French & Mattawa rivers call **310-FIRE (3473)**. – For those south call **911**. Remember to check local regulations before burning anything outdoors! #### Wildfire Risk Ratings Wildfire risk updates occur regularly based on real-time weather conditions across the province’s extensive network. Check your local ratings through Ontario’s interactive fire map; they classify hazard levels as follows: – Blue for low hazard – Green for moderate hazard – Yellow for high hazard – Red for extreme hazard Lastly, As we approach peak summer months, stay safe by avoiding outdoor burning when you can! Consider alternatives like composting yard waste instead. When allowed, Fires should only be started within specific time frames – no sooner than two hours before sunset and fully extinguished no later than two hours after sunrise. Ensure you have enough tools and water available if you’re lighting up outdoors. If you’re inside municipal boundaries, It’s best to confirm local burning restrictions or permits with your fire department first. Stay informed!
