A motorcyclist lost their life in a crash at the intersection of Burnhamthorpe and Trafalgar roads in Oakville (David Ritchie/CHCH News).
Halton police are looking into a deadly motorcycle accident that shut down part of Trafalgar Road and Burnhamthorpe Road East in Oakville for several hours Sunday morning.
According to officers, around 8:52 a. m. Sunday, a blue Yamaha motorcycle was heading north on Trafalgar Road when it struck a black Acura SUV that was turning left onto Burnhamthorpe Road East.
The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene, as reported by police.
Investigators noted that the driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Halton Police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently examining this incident.
