The launch of Windsor’s electric vehicle battery plant has led to the company being acknowledged.
Next Star Energy has been honored with the Energy Storage Milestone Award from Energy Storage Canada for establishing Canada’s only full-scale battery manufacturing facility.
“This award is a tremendous recognition of what our team has accomplished in such a short time,” said Next Star CEO Danies Lee. “The grand opening of our Windsor facility was the culmination of hard work, dedication, and ambition in the face of a changing industry. While this is an important milestone, it is only the beginning. We are committed to Canada and proud to be building advanced battery solutions here in Ontario.”
Energy Storage Canada President and CEO Justin Rangooni mentioned that the award highlights the company’s efforts in promoting clean energy awareness.
“Each significant milestone in energy storage demonstrates what is possible and creates a foundation for further industry growth,” said Rangooni. “The Energy Storage Milestone Award recognizes achievements that translate ambition into tangible progress and lasting benefits for the sector. We are proud to recognize Next Star Energy as this year’s recipient.”
The award was presented at Energy Storage Canada’s annual conference in Toronto.
