Windsor-Essex and much of southwestern Ontario should prepare for freezing rain, according to Environment Canada.
A special weather statement has been issued for Windsor-Essex, Sarnia-Lambton, and Chatham-Kent, indicating that freezing rain mixed with snow and ice pellets could start on Tuesday morning. There may be an accumulation of one to two millimetres.
The freezing rain is likely to taper off by Tuesday afternoon, transitioning to regular rain as temperatures begin to rise. Coastal areas are expected to have minimal ice accumulation.
Environment Canada cautions that roads and walkways might become slick, and there could be power outages in some areas.
