A fire at a commercial building in Comber has led to an investigation as the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) consider the fire suspicious.

At about 1 a. m. on Sunday, Essex County OPP and the Lakeshore fire department were called to the scene on Industrial Road.

Police report that no injuries occurred.

The OPP Crime Unit is continuing to investigate the fire, with assistance from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall.

Authorities have not disclosed any details about potential damage caused by the blaze.

Investigators are requesting nearby businesses to check their surveillance footage around the time of the incident and report any unusual activity. Anyone with information should reach out to Essex OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
