Whitby is celebrating Canada with two exciting art installations this summer.

This year’s theme is “Strong and Free” (Canada), and they’re reaching out to find two artists who can highlight national pride through interactive art projects.

The first project is the Waterfront Street Piano at Rotary Sunrise Lake Park.

They’re looking for someone aged between 12 and 25 to turn a public piano into a colorful piece of art.

The second project is open to all artists. It involves creating a mural on Roebuck Street in downtown Brooklin.

The town believes this art installation will transform the street into a lively, pedestrian-friendly extension of Grass Park.

Applications are due by March 25. To apply, click here.
