Authorities have closed one lane of a highway in Ontario after a cement truck accident in Whitby.
The OPP Highway Safety Division reported shortly after 6 p. m. on Wednesday that the incident occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 412 near Taunton Road in Whitby.
There have been reports of minor injuries.
A cement truck traveling north experienced a blown front tire, causing it to crash and roll over into the southbound lanes.
Police indicated that one right lane of the highway is blocked, and cleanup efforts are expected to take “several more hours.”
