A 68-year-old cyclist has died following a collision in Whitby, Ont., last week, police confirmed in an update on Monday.
On Friday, officers responded to the scene of a crash involving a male cyclist at Coronation Road and Lyndebrook Road, according to Durham police.
Authorities state that the cyclist was traveling northbound on Coronation Road when he collided with a parked trailer.
The man was taken to a trauma center in Toronto but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police are urging anyone who may have information or footage related to this incident to reach out to the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit or Crime Stoppers.
