WASAGA BEACH, ON – With sunny weather on the horizon and the May 30 weekend approaching, the Town of Wasaga Beach is inviting residents, visitors, and families to kick off the summer season at the beach.

As one of Ontario’s top summer spots gets ready for a bustling weekend, the Town encourages everyone to enjoy the waterfront, support local eateries and shops, explore nearby trails and parks, and start planning for a fun-filled season with live music, festivals, family-friendly activities, and unique beachfront experiences.

With over 14 kilometers of beach divided into eight sections, Wasaga Beach is all set to welcome everyone to find their favorite spot for swimming, walking, relaxing, gathering, or just enjoying the shoreline. Learn more at Explore Wasaga Beach. com/beaches.

“Wasaga Beach is ready for summer, and we can’t wait to see residents, visitors and families back at the beach,” said Mayor Brian Smith. “Whether you’re here for a day trip, a weekend getaway or all summer long, we want everyone to enjoy what makes Wasaga Beach special – our beautiful waterfront, our local businesses, our festivals and events that bring summer alive.”

This month saw the Town roll out its Summer 2026 schedule featuring over 80 live music performances along with weekly outdoor events and major festivals designed to celebrate everything people love about summertime at the beach.

Some highlights include Summer Sets; Music in the Park; Trail Tunes; Arts and Eats Festival; Cruisers Fun Run; Canada Day Celebrations at Nancy Island Historic Site; Wasaga’s first-ever Canada Day Symphony Fireworks over Georgian Bay; the new Wasaga Beach Life Festival and Midway; Rockin’ the River; Awaken the Isle; Wasaga Beach Triathlon; and the award-winning Memories of Summer beachfront concert experience.

This year’s lineup features The Carpet Frogs as well as Jukebox Heroes playing hits from Foreigner. There will also be a three-night celebration over Labour Day weekend featuring Legends of Motown followed by The Yacht Rock Show and Wing Night capped off with fireworks over Georgian Bay.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to check out this summer’s full event lineup on Wasaga Beach. com or through official social media channels to stay updated on details.

With great weather expected and more people heading into town this season, everyone is reminded that having a safe fun-filled summer starts with showing respect – for rules in place as well as local residents and businesses while keeping public spaces enjoyable for all.

The Town welcomes tourists along with community events but wants responsible car enthusiasts who come here safely. At this time though they want it clear that illegal car rallies or any form of stunt driving won’t be tolerated including excessive noise or damage caused either publicly or privately.

The Town is collaborating with various agencies like Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ontario Parks officials plus Municipal Law Enforcement teams alongside fire departments locally in order ensure safety throughout weekends along with entire seasons ahead. Residents can help by preparing beforehand while following rules posted clearly around areas designated specifically meant just for parking respecting private properties too where needed reporting anything unsafe observed happening immediately if necessary!

A new parks information line has been launched recently at 705-408-3336 which provides access information about park rules regarding operations while promoting responsible use across facilities available throughout communities involved here!

The Town also wants everyone to keep in mind:
