Provincial police are making another appeal for information regarding the case of Elnaz Hajtamiri, four years after the Ontario woman was taken and has not been seen since.
Hajtamiri was 37 years old when she was kidnapped by three suspects from a residence on Trailwood Place in Wasaga Beach on January 12, 2022.
Despite multiple arrests in connection with her case and a prior attack on Hajtamiri, she remains missing and is presumed dead.
Her ex-boyfriend is set to stand trial for first-degree murder later this year.
The Ontario Provincial Police state that their ongoing investigation into Hajtamiri’s abduction has uncovered “potential ties” to Timmins, the Greater Toronto Area, Quebec, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
While investigators aren’t revealing any more specifics about those connections, they urge anyone with information from these areas to reach out to them.
A reward of $100,000 for details leading to Hajtamiri’s whereabouts is still available.
OPP Det. Insp. Steven Martell mentioned that police believe someone out there could assist with the investigation.
“Elnaz’s family and friends have endured years of missed memories, celebrations and holidays without her and we remain committed to finding the answers they deserve,” Martell said in a news release.
