Tragic Accident Claims Life in Wasaga Beach

Tragic Accident Claims Life in Wasaga Beach

A tragic accident in Wasaga Beach on Saturday resulted in one fatality, prompting an investigation by the Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

At approximately 8:15 p. m. on Saturday, the Huronia West OPP responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian on River Road West, located between Village Gate Drive and Bells Park Road.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team, along with Simcoe County Paramedic Services, assisted in the response and ongoing investigation.

The pedestrian involved, a 73-year-old man from Scarborough, unfortunately lost his life due to the incident.

The investigation is still underway.
