Warner Bjornson from Thunder Bay passed away peacefully in the hospital on January 28, 2026, at the age of 78. He was born on June 15, 1947. In his younger days, he worked for Agnew-Surpass until they closed their stores in Thunder Bay. After that, he found a job with Diamond Lacy’s Taxi, which he really enjoyed. Warner loved bowling, fishing, and camping-activities he cherished doing with Cathy. He was a kind-hearted person. He is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Irene (nee Lucas), sister Ellen, and several aunts and uncles. Warner is survived by his wife Cathy, step-son Lawrence, step-grandson Cyrus Choquette, as well as brother-in-law Bill and sister-in-law Linda Yahn. Cremation has taken place; no services are planned at this time. A family interment will occur later on. Special thanks to Dr. Chan and the nurses during Warner’s brief stay in the hospital, to the Wheels of Hope drivers, and to Pierre from Bayshore for taking care of Warner’s wounds. I will always be thankful.
