VAUGHAN, ON, Oct. 20, 2025 /CNW/ – Walmart Canada has just opened its newest and most advanced distribution centre in Vaughan, Ontario. This marks an important move to enhance service for both customers and the local area. Spanning 550,000 square feet, this is the retailer’s first Ambient Distribution Centre (ADC) in Canada. “This state-of-the-art facility is our best yet here in Canada; it’s truly transformative for both our associates and customers,” said Matt Kelly, Vice President of Supply Chain at Walmart Canada. “It’s only the beginning of how we’re modernizing our supply chain thanks to a historic $6.5 billion investment announced earlier this year.” He added that Walmart aims to create a supply chain that sets high standards for efficiency while keeping innovation front-and-center as they grow into a people-led tech-powered company.

“We’re excited to mark this milestone with everyone today,” said Ken Illingworth, General Manager of Vaughan ADC. “Our team has put tremendous effort into making this center operational. Together we’re crafting an excellent workplace where technology meets talent-creating future jobs that make real impacts on both our clients’ needs as well as within our community.”

“Vaughan has an active business environment filled with ambition; we’re proud that Walmart chose to invest here,” said Mayor Steven Del Duca from Vaughan city hall. “This innovative facility will bring hundreds of jobs into town which adds revenue streams helping us further boost economic growth locally! Congratulations on starting this exciting journey-and thank you for picking Vaughan!”
