Two males from Bradford West Gwillimbury died in a crash on Freeway 400 in Vaughan on Sunday, which left the motive force with crucial accidents.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the crash occurred round 3:45 a.m. and concerned a passenger car working as a rideshare and a transport truck within the northbound lanes, south of Teston Highway.

Police say the passenger car struck the top of a guardrail whereas exiting the freeway, which induced a secondary collision with the truck. Two passengers within the rideshare car, 30-year-old males, had been pronounced lifeless on the scene, and the motive force was taken to the hospital with crucial accidents. The driving force of the truck was not injured.

The northbound lanes of Freeway 400 had been closed at Main Mackenzie Drive for a number of hours however have since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
