VAUGHAN – Authorities north of Toronto have named two men who lost their lives in a targeted shooting outside a residence in Vaughan, Ont., on Wednesday.
York Region police report that they received a call about gunfire at a home near Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive around 5:30 p. m.
Upon arrival, they discovered Pasquale Casciato, 49, and Christian Belsito, 34, both of whom succumbed to their injuries from gunshot wounds.
According to police, one victim was a resident at the Kaiser Drive home while the other lived nearby, and they were acquainted.
Police stated late Wednesday that they suspect it was a targeted attack and are currently searching for three male suspects who escaped in an SUV.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or security footage to reach out to investigators.
