A motorcyclist has lost their life following a crash in Vaughan on Saturday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police report that the incident took place just before 7 p. m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 400 near Rutherford Road.
Authorities say the motorcyclist, a 43-year-old from Wasaga Beach, hit the back of a pickup truck before being struck by another vehicle.
No other injuries were reported, and police mentioned that no charges have been laid against anyone involved in the accident.
Witnesses told police that they observed the motorcyclist driving “aggressively” just prior to the collision with another vehicle.
All lanes on Highway 400 near Rutherford Road were shut down for several hours as police conducted their investigation. They reopened early Sunday morning, according to updates shared on social media by authorities.
