A Canada-wide warrant is still active for 19-year-old Isaiah Thomas Badger, who is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.
Authorities have apprehended a suspect linked to a homicide that took place in Vaughan back in January.
Police received reports of gunfire at a commercial plaza near Winges Road and Rowntree Dairy roads on Monday, Jan. 26 around 1 p. m., according to a news release from York Regional Police. Upon their arrival, they found a man outside a business with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
On March 5, following an ongoing joint investigation, officers from the OPP James Bay Detachment arrested Jacob Wallace in Moosonee, as stated by police.
Wallace, 19 years old and from Mississauga, now faces charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.
