A Canada-wide warrant is still active for 19-year-old Isaiah Thomas Badger, who is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.

Authorities have apprehended a suspect linked to a homicide that took place in Vaughan back in January.

Police received reports of gunfire at a commercial plaza near Winges Road and Rowntree Dairy roads on Monday, Jan. 26 around 1 p. m., according to a news release from York Regional Police. Upon their arrival, they found a man outside a business with multiple gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

On March 5, following an ongoing joint investigation, officers from the OPP James Bay Detachment arrested Jacob Wallace in Moosonee, as stated by police.

Wallace, 19 years old and from Mississauga, now faces charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.

A Canada-wide warrant is still out for 19-year-old Isaiah Thomas Badger from Edmonton, Alberta. Authorities consider Badger armed and dangerous. If anyone sees him, they are advised not to approach but instead contact the police immediately.

Badger is wanted on charges of first-degree murder and arson causing damage to property.

The police encourage him to seek legal advice and turn himself in.

Investigators from the York Regional Police homicide unit express their gratitude to the media, the public, Toronto Police Service homicide and missing person unit, as well as Ontario Provincial Police for their support during this case.

If you have any information, please reach out to York Regional Police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7865 or email [email protected]. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting www.1800222tips. com.
