Station House Toronto, a rental community developed by Hazelview Investments Inc. in the city’s west end, has received the Rainbow Registered accreditation. This national recognition from the Canadian Queer Chamber of Commerce honors organizations that foster welcoming environments for 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
The accreditation shows Hazelview’s dedication to creating spaces “where residents, employees, and visitors feel safe, respected, and proud to belong,” as stated by the global real estate development and property management company.
Station House Toronto marks Hazelview’s ninth residential rental community to gain Rainbow Registered accreditation. Overall, including its residential properties and corporate offices, Hazelview has earned this recognition at 11 sites across Canada. In 2025, they opened Canada’s first Rainbow Registered residential rental building, Midtown Toronto at 73/75 Broadway Ave.
Rainbow Registered accreditation comes after an independent review of an organization’s policies, training programs, leadership commitment, and culture. The program provides temporary acknowledgment of the organization’s preparedness to serve 2SLGBTQI+ customers.
Officials from Hazelview noted that this accreditation highlights the Toronto-based company’s “ongoing efforts to foster inclusive communities through comprehensive employee training, inclusive policies and procedures, leadership accountability, and engagement with residents, community organizations, and local stakeholders.”
Opened in February, Station House is part of the larger Bloor Crossing development located at Dufferin St. and Bloor Street West. This project includes over 2,000 rental homes developed by Hazelview alongside Fitzrovia Real Estate Inc., a local property developer.
The Bloor Crossing master plan features a new City of Toronto park spanning 3,580 square meters on Croatia St., along with a pedestrian-friendly Assembly Lane lined with shops and landscaping.
Designed by architectural firm Turner Fleischer, Station House consists of two phases; interior design for Station I is handled by Diamond Schmitt while Mason Studio designs Station II’s interiors. Landscape design is managed by Studio TLA.
Station I is a mid-rise building with 12 stories located on Bloor that offers 284 rental suites scheduled for move-in in the fourth quarter. To the south lies Station II which includes two towers rising 34 and 38 stories tall with a total of 856 rental units set to welcome residents starting this summer.
