Six individuals, including a baby, were taken to a hospital in southern Ontario on Sunday after an SUV collided with a GO Transit bus.
According to Niagara Regional Police, the incident occurred in the north part of St. Catharines, near North Service Road and YMCA Drive, just off the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) highway.
A Honda CRV traveling north crossed into the path of a southbound GO bus.
Police reported that there were 18 passengers aboard the bus; six people – five passengers and the driver – were transported to the hospital for minor injuries.
Authorities say a 56-year-old man from Omemee, Ont., is facing charges for impaired driving and has had his driver’s license temporarily suspended.
The man has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court at a later time.
