A 30-year-old man from Ontario has lost his life after falling from a cliff in the Osprey Heights region of Clearview Township, located north of Toronto.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, emergency responders were sent to the western end of Osprey Heights Road, close to Collingwood, shortly after 3 p. m. on Friday. This was in response to reports that someone had fallen a considerable distance from the edge of a cliff.
Authorities state that attempts were made to save the man’s life; however, he was declared dead at the scene.
The police are continuing their investigation into what led to the fall but have indicated that there is no evidence suggesting foul play.
They also urge the public to be cautious while enjoying outdoor activities, particularly around cliffs and areas with steep or uneven terrain.
