On Monday, the Athletics edged out the Blue Jays 6-5. However, Toronto bounced back with a 4-2 victory in the second game of the series on Tuesday. Before this decisive match, Blue Jays manager John Schneider shared an update about right-hander Trey Yesavage, who has been sidelined since August 5 due to inflammation in his left knee.

According to Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet, Yesavage plans to throw two innings against live hitters on Thursday and aims for around 30-35 pitches.
Anthony Santander (shoulder) will start a rehab assignment as a designated hitter with triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Wednesday before moving to games in the outfield later.
Trey Yesavage (knee) will pitch two innings against live batters on Thursday, aiming for approximately 30-35 pitches.
Yesavage is just 23 years old and initially started this season on the injured list due to a shoulder injury. The Blue Jays activated him back on April 28.
This year, he has maintained a solid performance with a 3.65 ERA and a WHIP of 1.14 while striking out 91 batters over his total of 93 and two-thirds innings pitched for Toronto.

The Blue Jays called up Yesavage for his MLB debut last September. He only made three regular-season starts last year.

In last year’s playoffs, he achieved a respectable ERA of 3.58 alongside an impressive tally of 39 strikeouts across nearly28 innings pitched.
